Activities during the lesson

Can you give me some advice regarding activities during a lesson, which include grammar, speaking, listening and writing, for elementary students? Which did you find exciting and useful. Thanks
This is a very general question James, which doesn't have a simple answer. I have different activities for different grammar points and for different students.
When working with elementary students I know that the classes have to be fun and interactive. If you can make the activities personal and useful the kids will appreciate it.
Imagine that you need to teach some travel vocabulary (suitcase, passport, toothbrush etc). So, that day when you arrive to class or when the students arrive they will see a big suitcase on your desk.
You could explain that you are going on a trip and you need to make sure you have everything. With a list you could read off the things and get the students to tell you if the item is in the suitcase or not. If it isn't they could get it out of a bag and put it in the suitcase.
This is just an example I made right now, but from that example you will notice a couple things.
1) It is an activity with props and movement. The students can get up and go to the suitcase and look at the things you have.
2) They will feel like they are helping you because you are packing for a trip.
3) You can adapt this for grammar. What is in the suitcase? (Take something out). What was in the suitcase? What should I have in the suitcase if I am going to the beach? How many things do I have etc.
Unfortunately I don't have a bank of activities that people can use (definitely something I will add in the future...a directory of activities that you can do with kids).
I hope that helps you start.
