Books to Learn Modern English

I wanted to improve/learn modern or currently used English, do you recommend any books for that? Also, you're helping me a lot, in learning English. Thanks for that!

Hello! This is a great question. In terms of "what" book to use, there isn't just one answer. My advice would be to read modern novels (fictional or non-fictional).

There is a great series by Janet Evanovich which I LOVE. It is modern, hilarious and FILLED with great expressions, vocabulary and slang. I would concider it an advanced read BUT you can also get the audio books and read and listen at the same time.
