Provide a brief description of the website.
http://quick-text.narod.ru/en/ provides free software called E.S.V. QuickText.
QuickText is software for creating educational video dictionaries/films. I found this site some months ago. You only need to find a subtitle file for a movie and then you can write out all unknown words/phrases from it using this software.
QuickText will translate it as well and you are able to create a video dictionary/film.
For me it is very useful because I'd like to process the content of a movie before I watch it. So in general I think that it is very useful software.
From their website you can download the International edition of this software (it translates from English-to-English like vocabulary) and the ultimate edition (for Russian speakers).
What does the website provide English learners?
I will just insert the official description from the main page:
QuickText Software is an instrument for learning the English language. It is based on a new technology of educational video film creation.
With E.S.V. QuickText you can easily and quickly mark unknown words/phrases from a subtitle file and then create an educational video film or dictionary.
You watch a video, memorize meanings of unknown words/phrases, understand a situation of usage and also listen to a native pronunciation of a word/phrase.
Why is this particular website different or special?
I think this site is special because it provides the opportunity to download (and use) very useful software for free, which can help you improve your vocabulary/pronunciation/listening skills through videos.
Anything else to add?
I thinks it would be great if someone could write a review about this software to provide insight for more potential users (great idea! I will add it to my to do list-Diana). The developers do not ask for money in exchange for the program so I think we can help them :)

By the way I attached some images from the Ultimate edition (for Russian speakers)
