How to Cook a Chicken

by Bernice
(kansas)

First, you need to buy a chicken. Then, when your chicken is clean, you cut it into 6 or 8 pieces. (How does your chicken get clean? Tell us...Then remove the chicken from the packaging and rinse the whole chicken under cold water. Clean the inside and outside of the chicken)

Next, you have to seasoning the chicken before cooking it. (How do you season a chicken? Season the chicken with garlic, salt, pepper and Italian seasonings. shake the seasonings over the chicken and then rub them into the skin)

After that, you put the chicken in a pan. Then, turn the stove burner in slow on low and start cooking the chicken. You have to stir the chicken frequently many times to have completely cooking fully cook it.

Finally, serve the chicken with rice and enjoy it with your family.

Hi Bernice!! EXCELLENT work! You give very good instructions. Just be careful not to assume that people know what to do. (How do you clean the chicken?)

Also, the first time I read this I thought that you were baking the chicken in the oven. I changed your wording to "stove top" so that people will not confuse stove (on top of the stove burner) with in the stove.

Great work! I'd like to see an essay Bernice!! Go to Lesson number 5 and choose one of the essay topics there. Have fun and keep up the good work!
