Hi Pradeep,

I have edited your cover letter and your resume and I have a couple more suggestions for you.

I'd like to you try and divide your resume into sections. Right now your cover letters tells the reader almost everything that is in your resume. You don't want to say everything, just mention the important things.

Tip #1

Consider dividing your resume into the following sections.

Name
Address 1
City, State, Zip
Phone
Email Address

Objective
Text here

Qualifications
Text here

Education
Text here

Relevant Experience
Text here

Hobbies and Interests

References Available Upon Request

Tip# 2:
Write your resume first! Add all the relevant information and details that are important to that specific job.

Tip# 3
Write a cover letter that does not repeat everything in your resume.

-State which position you are applying for and where you found the post (You did this very well already).

-State what your education is (keep personal details to yourself until you are in the interview)

-List some skills that would be useful for this job.

-Tell the reader that you look forward to introducing yourself in person during the interview.

I hope that helps Pradeep. Also, I am sorry to hear that your family situation requires to you put your studies on hold. It must have been a difficult decision to make but you are doing a great thing, helping your family.

Best of luck with the job.
Have a great day!
Diana

Experience vs Exeriences
by: Steffi

Wow.. Diana, you really didn't get confused with the miserable words and you corrected them all. I think you are talented in Language Features. Thanks for all the precious experience you have given to us! ^.^ I would be very glad If you also willing to be my English guide. ^o^

Honestly, I didn't know whether "experience" can be plural or not. Is it correct to say "experiences"? "Experience" is countable, isn't it?

Tx.. :)

xxx,
Steffi

Hi Steffi!

Thanks for your encouraging comments. I love to help others and it really is rewarding to have someone (like yourself) tell me I am doing a good job.

As for experience it depends on what you are talking about.

You can have experience...meaning that you have done something for a long period of time and that you know well.

ex: I have 5 years experience teaching ESL.

You can also have different experiences (in life). (That is countable). For example...when I went to Spain I was amazed at all the different experiences I had.

I hope that helps Steffi!

Cheers,
Diana
