Past Continuous: 13 Days in Beijing

I was visiting visited Beijing during my last vacation. In Beijing I liked the beautiful buildings.

Iwas traveling by plan got there by plane, it was a very long journey. During the flight, I was sleeping, watching movi. I slept and watched movies. The weather was cold in Beijing and it was snowing the entire time I was there.

Good work! I have corrected your story and I would like you to practice using the past continuous more, because you made some mistakes.

Most of the examples you used should be in the simple past rather than the past continuous.

1) I was sleeping when the flight attendant woke me up for lunch
2) It was snowing all the time (CORRECT! Good use of the past continuous).

The easiest way to practice is to write a story in the simple past. Then return to your story and add information in the past continuous.
