Past Continuous: New Years Vacation

by Jane Yang
(Guangzhou city,Guangdong province,China)

My new years vacation was from the 22nd th of Jan. to the 4th of Feb.

I was stayeding at home, on for my whole vacation. I was cleanedring the new house everyday, because it was a mess.

I like the new house, because it's so much bigger than the my old house. The best thing in about my vacation is was that our whole family can could stay be together and had share a meal together.

Hi Jane Yang, I corrected your story and I'd like you to look at the grammar explination again, about the past continuous.

Generally you will use the simple past more frequently. Try to write your story in the simple past and then using the rules, add some sentences in the past continuous.

Keep up the good work.

I am doing an English course now.
I go to there on Thursday once a week.
That is spoken English. During the lessons, all of us have the chance to speak with our teacher.

My previous course ended last Tuesday. I think that it is good, so I joined the next one.

My spoken English has improved a lot, after that course.
