Past Continuous: Srisailam Trip

by Sucharitha
(chennai , Tamil Nadu , India)

Past Conditional Assignment

Last Winter we were planning for a jolly and holy trip, and we decided to go to Srisailam (the temple of lord Shiva). It is located on a hill about 250ft high from the ground level above sea level.

We started from left Hyderabad on the 22.11.2007 in the morning. We took an innova car, which can accommodates 9 passangers members. Along with my family, joined my motherin-law, father-in-law , my mother, father, auntie and one of my cousins joined us as well.

On the way to srisailam we covered visited a ZOO for my son's sake, (he enjoyed the zoo a lot). From there we started continued to Sirisalam. The climate there is very cool. When we were While traveling in the forest, my son was watching the monkeys on the road. My hubby saw some deer which were crossing the road. They were so cute! The route was so nice, without pollution and you could see greenery all the entire way.

At last, at 7:30 we reached Srisailam, my brother had booked two rooms for us there. It was cold because it was winter. the climate was so cool , it was winter season, It was a pleasant and very calm place. As we reached arrived early we decided to go to temple. We got refreshed freshened up and went for darshan. It was so beautiful. While coming out we enquired about the other poojas in the early hours of the next day and we booked for abhishekam. After that we had our Dinner went back to our room.

The next day at 4:30 we went to temple for abhishekam, and finishing the same afterwards we went for site seeing.

First we went for rope riding (I don't know what this is??) that got us to a river, where we took a boat up and down the river. We took lots of photos. The water was very cold but we enjoyed ourselves. After coming back from that place we saw some more temples in and around that place the area and we started our journey home in the evening. We got reached home at 9:00pm with some very sweet and good memories.

Great job! You used the past Continuous very well. Do you have a picture from your trip? We could add it to your story so that everyone can see what the place looked like. You write very well!

Remember to use your articles, like "a" and "the" when writing. Thanks for doing this past continuous assigment Sucharitha.
