Rock Climbing Trip in Kalymnos

by Daniel
(Tarbes)

Buying Sponges

Buying Sponges

I'm going to speak about my last travel trip in on a great little greece Greek island, named called Kalymnos.

Kalymnos is one of the dedocanese islands, near Turkey. I went there with Whit three friends. First, we took a plane from Toulouse to Athens, first part of our trip. Then, some hours later, in from the Athens airport we got a fly flight to Kos (which is also a Greek greece island too). We travelled with took a ferry -boat from Kos to Kalymnos. In Kalymnos the port is named Mastihari. what enjoyed we were in We really enjoyed seeing this marvelous jewel; a climbers' paradise!

In the past from Kalymnos was known for the activity one was sponge fishing (see picture above), but now the people of the island live off tourism. There are too much many restaurants, which are not cheap, where you can eat, vegetables, fishes and Feta all ever.

What I recommend the most is you mythos beer. I'lladda picture at of me later.

Thanks for reading.

Great story Daniel!

I love the picture that you added. I thought that they were baskets of bread at first but then I realized they are sponges. Very interesting.

Keep up the great work. I look forward to reading and editing more of your stories, and seeing more of your wonderful pictures.

All the best,

Diana
