Selling a Service and Making a Deal

by Ika
(Jakarta, Indonesia)

I'm going to open the newest branch of an English Course. This Branch is mine, and it has been my dream for a few years. I've prepared everything well but I still have some difficulties making a good deal with some schools to join my English Course. In fact, I have to compete with other English Courses.

Diana,
Could you tell me what I should prepare? How to make them sure about my EC and let the students of those schools become interested in joining my EC?
Thx Diana...
Hearing from you soon
God Bless u....Good Luck 4 you
Best regards,

Ika

Hi Ika,

First of all congratulations! This must be a very exciting time for you. I remember when I first started this website and the first time someone asked me a question. It truly is a fulfilling experience.

Now to help you with your question; I am going to need to make sure I have all the information correct.

You are starting a new English course and you need to do some publicity and get other schools to offer your course at their institutions...correct?

First of all, the most important things to do are:

1) answer their questions
2) solve their problems
3) make their lives easier for them
4) over deliver.

If you want people to join your course, instead of other courses, you need to prove to those students that your course it the best for them.

Answer these questions;

  • How does your course teach people English better, faster and easier than other courses?

  • Why is your course more affordable? or Why should they pay a bit more for your course (depending on the situation). Explain what they are paying for and why they should pay for it.

  • Why should they choose you? How does your course differ than the rest?

  • What is the special "something" that you have, that no one else has?

  • Explain to those people how your product or course solves all their problems. (Need to improve pronunciation?...this is how my EC helps...Need to improve comprehension?...this is what my EC does... etc.)

    Provide a Quality Product

You need to make sure that you are providing a quality product, which it sounds like you have created and put a lot of time and investment into. Now you need to show everyone that your course is what they are looking for.

I hope that helps Ika. If you have any other questions just leave a comment here at the bottom of the page.

I also invite anyone else with ideas or suggestions to leave comments for Ika.

    Help and be helped!
