Teaching English to Spanish Speakers

by Erika
(Miami)

Hi there...my cousin recently came from Cuba and I would really like to teacher her (32 years old) how to speak English...I would like to find a textbook to serve as a guide for me...what do you recommend?

Answer:

Sorry for the lay reply Erika. I just started a new job and I haven't been able to dedicate any time to the website. My apologies.

As for your question if you would like a quality textbook to help guide you through the grammar then I highly recommend Raymond Murphy's self study guide, "English Grammar In Use ".

It is an absolutely wonderful resource for both teachers and students. I think the key is that it explains the grammar and then also provides exercises so that you can test yourself. The latest additions also provide the answers too!

Well worth it!

Cheers,
Diana
