The difference between HOUSE and HOME

by Marzouq
(Amman, Jordan)

I want to know the difference between 'House' and 'Home', please. One day, I was asked this question and my answer was, "a house has a physical meaning and a home has an emotional meaning.

(..."house" refers to a physical structure while "home" refers to the emotional place that is created inside a house with your family.)

Am I right?

All the best,
Marzouq

Marzouq, you are CORRECT! Great job. House is just a physical building but a home is a place where people live and includes emotion. :)
