'Bob and I' or 'Bob and me'?

I posted a picture on facebook of me and my boyfriend. I wrote - Me and Bob. I received so many posts stating that was not grammatically correct. I should have posted it as Bob and I. I was always taught to take the 2nd person out of the equation. If I took Bob out of the equation, I would not post the pic as "I", it would be posted as "me", thus the reason the caption for my pic said "me and Bob". Is this correct?

Yes you are correct! The trick of removing the second person and seeing what you would say (obviously "me" in this case) proves that you are correct.

Many people do make this mistake though and say "Bob and I".
