Finding a Spouse

by Beauty in Royalty

Finding a spouse, a real match one your true match, is getting harder nowadays; like matching two sophisticated pieces of a puzzle. Our traditions about regarding this are is very much closer to that of the Victorian era.

For example, when a man decided to get married, he tells told his mother or father to look for a "good" girl to become his wife. Then, the search gets started for a girl whose qualities fit to the required ones began. As for these qualities, they varied from a family to another family.

Some families limited their choices to among girls who belonged to the same tribe, because they knew their families' background and upbringing. They think thought that they could handle any potential problems between the couple in the future, if they were from the same family. Also they believed that such a marriage would enhance the good relationship between the two families.

Other families would picked a girl from a different tribe to bring new blood to their own. This was also done to establish a new promising relationship with the girl's tribe or family.

Most of marriages in our tradition is are limited to these two types mentioned before. As for me, what really matters is matching the soul and mind in addition to good upbringing. This is what I really look forward to having in the future: a spouse.
