I NEED A BOOK GUIDE FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS

Hello, my name is Lucia, and I work as a teacher in Spain, I am a special education teacher, for teenagers with problems. This year my students want to study English and we are looking for an English guide for absolute beginners, but we don't find anything. Could you, please, help us to find one?

A good English book for absolute beginners

Hi Lucia,

This is a great question. Starting from 0 can seem like a daunting task and it is always good to have a book or guide to help you from scratch.

I personally taught with the Vaughan Systems teacher's guide but that is because I worked for them. I believe the do not sell that book to others.

If you are looking for grammar, all of the "Grammar in Use" books are great. There are three different ones for different levels.

You will need to include listening and other activities as well (not just grammar books) so you might want to find a good tv series to watch with these students. Although...how old are they?
