A galloping horse...
by: Ola Zur

There is a problem with the second part of the sentence: "a galloping horse down the hill."

Here is the problem:
galloping = adjective
horse = noun
down the hill = adverb phrase

So, what's missing?

A verb.

Basically, what you need to do to turn this sentence into a correct one is to add a verb.

One thing you could do is to move "galloping" after the "horse": "I saw a horse galloping down the street."

Another thing you could do is to leave "galloping" as an adjective, and add a new verb:
"I saw a galloping horse speeding down the hill."

Another example:
Incorrect: I heard a buzzing bee around the room.
Correct: I heard a bee buzzing in the room.
Correct: I heard a buzzing bee flying around the room.
