Read frequently

"The most obvious way of improve ones reading capabilities is to read a lot more.

The more you read, the better reader you become.

In this regard I’d recommend you to not only read a lot but also to read frequently.

If you haven’t done so already, make a schedule for reading where you mention the amount of time you've set aside for reading every day."

Visit ABDERISAK ADAM's blog to read more and see his sample reading schedule.

  • Read books! Go to your library (IT'S FREE) and get some books for teenagers. That way the language will not be too complicated and you can gain some confidence. As you read more you can advance to more challenging books and novels.

  • Read magazines or newspapers. You can find almost every magazine online. For example: time, Readers Digest, Hello, The Economist etc. (Remember to use Word Champ to make it easier).

  • Get some 'language readers', novels that have been adapted for English learners. You can read some classic novels, but written for your level. There are usually 5 different levels to choose from. My favorite is a penguin reader, "Taste and other Tales" by Roald Dahl.

Like any skill you improve it by practicing.  Knowing this you must find material that you are interested in reading and that is not too challenging   If you read books or articles that are too difficult you will get frustrated and lose interest.

On the other hand, if you read articles that are too easy, you will not feel motivated to continue because you aren't challenging yourself.
