English Textbooks and Resources

Searching the web for English textbooks can be overwhelming and frustrating.  There are too many options and many of those options are probably what you are looking for or even need.

When you search the Internet for materials you have an idea of what you are looking for.

I want a book to teach me basic grammar that includes simple explanations  examples (from a business context) and an exercises with an answer key.

How many times have you bought a book and been disappointed when you received it?

This has happened to me many times and it is frustrating.

It shouldn't be difficult to find that on the Internet should it?  Sadly, it is difficult to know what your are buying.

To make matters worse, they can be expensive.  Many books are worth the price though, but some really are not.

How can you know which are worth your time and money?

One of the best ways is to get recommendations from other students or teachers who have used the books or materials themselves.  Many teachers will use a particular text for a certain part of their classes.

Buyer's Tip:  I highly recommend searching for books on Amazon.  There you can read customer reviews and also see excerpts or parts of the book before you buy it.

Amazon it probably easiest way to buy a textbook.  You don't have to go anywhere, you can know what other people think about the book AND it is delivered directly to your home.  It really doesn't get easier than that.

My teacher friends and I, for example, love to use Raymond Murphy's English Grammar in Use for our grammar classes.

Let me save you from wasting your time and money on a book that doesn't fit your learning style.
